From Scratch You Bake Cookies, in Mental Shoes Issue 22

Featured in the 22nd issue of Mental Shoes, my short story:

From scratch you bake cookies, and since you don’t follow recipes, you never know if you have too much or not enough of something until after the cookies are baked. Cookies that don’t turn out as you mean them to turn out are not eaten. You wash your bowls and spoons and cups, and you start again. You try different amounts of ingredients, and sometimes you try different ingredients, and you keep trying until you get the cookies right.

To read more, download the issue at mentalshoes.com, or you can get a higher-res version of the issue at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/m74o6i7o17a8uku/_hWssYfbB.
